Terms and Conditions of Participation

Truma Gerätetechnik GmbH & Co. KG, Wernher-von-Braun-Straße 12, D-85640 Putzbrunn (hereinafter "Truma"), is organizing a prize draw as part of the event Surftown MUC. The prize of the prize draw ("Prize") is provided by Truma. The advertiser pursuant to Section 657 of the German Civil Code (BGB) and therefore the party responsible for all claims in relation to the advertised prizes is Truma and not the trade fair organizer.

  1. 1. Conditions of Participation and Entry to the Prize Draw
    1. Participation in the prize draw is free of charge. Participation does not require the use of specific services, the purchase of products, or consent to marketing activities. This also has no influence on the chances of winning.
    2. Only natural persons who are at least 18 years old at the time of participation are eligible to enter.
    3. Employees of Truma or affiliated companies, as well as family members of the aforementioned employees, are excluded from participating.
    4. Participation via automated processes such as scripts, bots, prize draw clubs, etc. is not permitted. The participant must personally carry out the action described in section 1.9. Group participation is not permitted; each group member must participate individually.
    5. Participants who are not eligible according to sections 1.2 or 1.3, or who violate the rules in sections 1.4 or 1.5, are not entitled to win. This means they will not receive a prize even if they are initially drawn as a "winner."
    6. Truma is also entitled to exclude individuals from participation if there are legitimate reasons, such as violation of these terms, multiple entries, unauthorized influence, or manipulation.
    7. Each participant may only enter the prize draw once. In the case of multiple entries, only the first entry will be considered, provided the participant is not otherwise disqualified. A participant can win no more than one prize.
  2. 2. Prizes
    1. Truma is giving away the following prize: 1 (one) ticket for a surf session at Surftown MUC.
    2. As this is a prize draw, Truma assumes no warranty for possible defects in the prize.
    3. Cash payment, changes, exchange, or transfer of the prize are excluded.
  3. 3. Duration of the Prize Draw and Winner Selection
    1. Participation is possible from April 18, 2026, 10:00 a.m. until April 18, 2026, 4:00 p.m. CEST. Entries submitted outside the participation period will not be considered.
    2. Winners will be drawn at random by Truma within 10 business days after the end of the prize draw from all eligible participants according to section 1. The chance of winning depends primarily on the number of participants.
  4. 4. Termination of the Prize Draw

    Truma reserves the right to terminate or cancel the prize draw at any time and without prior notice for objective reasons. An objective reason exists, for example, if the proper execution of the prize draw can no longer be guaranteed due to technical issues (such as malware, external manipulation, hardware or software errors, including issues at Surftown MUC) or legal reasons, provided these circumstances were not foreseeable and cannot be remedied with reasonable effort.

  5. 5. Notification and Announcement of Winners
    1. The winner will be notified via the email address provided when entering, within approximately 48 hours after the winner has been determined.
    2. If a participant is selected as a winner, they must contact Truma within 10 business days and provide a valid delivery address within Germany. Business days are Monday to Friday, excluding German public holidays. If the participant fails to contact Truma or does not provide a deliverable address, the prize will be forfeited.
    3. Truma will send the prize by post to the address provided. Once the prize has been dispatched to that address, Truma's obligation is fulfilled. The winner is responsible for providing the correct address. Truma assumes no liability for loss of the shipment at the destination, especially if it may be delivered to a location accessible to multiple individuals. Any additional shipping costs must be borne by the winner. The place of performance remains Truma's registered office. The winner must cover the cost of reshipment if the initial delivery fails for reasons not attributable to the prize sponsor (e.g., unclear address).
  6. 6. Data Protection
    1. Truma complies with applicable data protection regulations when storing and using participant data.
    2. For the execution of the prize draw, personal data submitted voluntarily by participants will be collected, including email addresses and full addresses of winners. Providing this data is voluntary, but an email address is required to notify winners.
    3. Data will be collected, processed, and stored exclusively for purposes related to the prize draw, including winner selection, notification, and prize delivery. Data will only be retained as long as necessary for these purposes or as required by law. Data will not be used for advertising purposes unless a participant voluntarily opts in to the Truma newsletter.
    4. Each participant has the right to request information about their stored personal data, as well as to request changes or deletion, unless legal provisions prevent deletion. Requests should be directed to privacy@truma.com.

  7. 7. Liability
    1. Truma is liable for damages only in cases of intent or gross negligence. In the event of a breach of essential obligations under these terms, Truma is also liable for slight negligence. Essential obligations (cardinal obligations) are those that enable the proper execution of the agreement and on which the participant may rely — here, the proper execution of the prize draw and the provision of prizes.
    2. Liability for slight negligence is limited to typical, foreseeable damage.
    3. Any further liability is excluded.
    4. These exclusions and limitations apply also to liability of employees, representatives, and agents of Truma, including shareholders and corporate bodies.
    5. These limitations do not apply in cases of injury to life, limb, or health, fraudulent concealment of defects, assumption of a guarantee by Truma, or liability under the Product Liability Act.
  8. 8. Miscellaneous
    1. Legal recourse regarding the awarding of prizes is excluded.
    2. German law exclusively applies to the prize draw and any related disputes.
    3. Please note that this prize draw is not organized, sponsored, or supported by Surftown MUC or any other third party. Truma is solely responsible. All questions or complaints must be directed to Truma, not Surftown MUC.
    4. Participants are responsible for the accuracy of all information submitted to Truma.
    5. If individual provisions of these terms become invalid, the remaining provisions remain unaffected.
